Transforming Landscapes is an ongoing Intervention project that started during a one month residency in Kakslauttanen finnish Lapland in 2022. It is the continue of a work we did in a cutted forest area in Estonia in 2022 at Wilbits, MAAJAAM.
In 2023 we did 3 new Pictures on Pico Island, Azores and it won´t be the last location….
With the moving of cutted tree trunks and the resulting minimal irritation in the landscape, we want to point out the worldwide intervention of humans in a natural cycle, which opposes with their own economically motivation and are questioning whether the forest manipulated by humans is still an attractive functioning habitat and what consequences result from it in the long term.
